Graph workflows
Connect agent, human, command and nested workflow steps into a path with clear outcomes and hand-offs.
Software work, coordinated
SwitchYard turns software development into a workflow that can move between AI agents, people and commands.
Keep the control plane in the cloud and the work close to your code, on the machines you choose.
What it is
SwitchYard is an orchestration platform for software development. You define the work as a graph, choose the agents and tools that can run it, and let the control plane coordinate each step. A workflow can ask an agent for implementation, ask a person for a decision, or run a repeatable command — with the same history and permissions around all three.
What you can do
Connect agent, human, command and nested workflow steps into a path with clear outcomes and hand-offs.
Run work on the local machines you register, where your repositories, tools and credentials already live.
Follow the current step, agent communication, command output and decisions from one run view.
Set plans and budgets for work, measure machine time, and make expensive or unattended work visible.
Organizations, projects and roles keep work separated, while each action follows the permissions around it.
Fix a failed step and continue from there, carrying the useful hand-off from the run that stopped.
How it works
The Control Plane stores workflow definitions, schedules the next step and records the run. A Local Agent connects from a machine you control, claims work it is capable of running, and reports progress back. The code and tools stay where you put them; SwitchYard coordinates the work around them.
In SwitchYard, “Add this machine” gives you this line with your Control Plane's address and a single-use enrollment token filled in, and its PowerShell equivalent for Windows.
